It is 2.5km…and it does take about 30 minutes…but if you have ever been to the Stampede before it is almost impossible to get a cab or uber. And the fares are outrageous because of the surge.
No worries. You can just walk back! This makes the Merlot House the most desirable locations in the city. Save money on all your transportation.
Calgary also has a few scooter companies that leave these fun toys everywhere. Great for most of the time, but when you need one during stampede, you can’t find one!
