Starting from the Wedge Pond day-use area, the trail spans approximately 8.1 km round-trip with an elevation gain of about 1,040 meters. The route begins with a forested path that transitions into steep, rocky terrain above the treeline. Hikers will encounter a narrow ridge with brief exposure, requiring hands-on scrambling and sure-footedness. The summit, at 2,665 meters, provides panoramic vistas of the Kananaskis Valley and surrounding peaks. This hike is best suited for those with prior scrambling experience and a good level of fitness.
